10yrs NP for murder.. ... It's a start I guess.

How many male murderers are allowed to use that plea?

[–]Diesel-66 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Kennison was sentenced in July to 18-45 years in prison after entering a guilty plea

And of course the bf gets more. He might have more physically done it, but he certainly only killed him because of her desires

Be very careful. Women who want transactional relationships are suspect at best. Never let one into your life.

I will probably get a lot of flack for this, but I don't care, it needs to be said and paid attention to in this sub. For context, I am not a feminist (about as critical of feminism as it gets) and people can check my comment history if they don't believe me.

I am honestly getting sick of these "an individual woman does something bad to a man" stories on this sub. What the hell does this have to do with men's rights? What does it have to do with men? Okay, ONE man was the victim of this psychotic woman. Why is that relevant to men's issues? By that logic, feminist subs are more than justified to use men (of whom there are a lot more) who kill women as "proof" that men are awful, that women are oppressed, yada yada yada.

Men have called out this feminist fallacy for years and now we're doing exactly the same here? WHY????

If this post is about how this piece of shit woman "only got ten years" and "would have gotten a lot more if the genders were flipped", that's a men's issue. That's relevant to this sub. But the post title says NOTHING about that. It's not even remotely implied.

This sub really needs to stop talking about stories of singular women doing something bad to men. It's that type of knee-jerk outrage that got us into this man-hating feminist world to begin with.

Again, if the point of this post was to expose the sentencing gap, that's fine, but then this should be explicitly mentioned instead of readers being required to know it "must be about that".

Wow. You're tired about hearing about unequal criminal sentencing, which has everything to do with equality and men's rights. Maybe you're in the wrong sub.

[–]pm_me_your_buttbulge 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You're tired about hearing about unequal criminal sentencing,

This is why Federal Guidelines happened.

Maybe you're in the wrong sub.

r/mensrights is more Malcom X style and r/menslib is more MLK style for those curious.

People who fall into the former style tend to be like that because they experienced it. People who fall into the latter tend to not have experienced it but see the sexism that exists.

All that being said...

Again, if the point of this post was to expose the sentencing gap, that's fine, but then this should be explicitly mentioned instead of readers being required to know it "must be about that".

I'm not entirely opposed to their opinion on this. It certainly would help filtering things out or drilling down to specific things.

Let's ignore this specific thing because it's moot. A flair for "research" to drill down actual data would be nice, as a significant example.

I mean /u/OrionBartholomew could have taken their own advice and put the last bits first and then went on to their rant.

I mean stories like this point out problems that should be addressed. The more common the story, the more serious the issue which is a whole different discussion.

[–]PactScharp -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Learn to read, bud.

I literally said that the issue of sentencing gaps is a RELEVANT thing to share on this sub. I'm saying this post quite literally says **NOTHING** about that. The title is about one woman doing one bad thing to one man. If that is a "men's issue", do you know how much ammo you're giving to feminists? Because by that logic, considering men kill women at around 3 times the rate that women kill men (in the US), feminists would have 3 times as many reasons to claim they're being "oppressed".

If this post was about the sentencing gap, which would have been completely fine, then it should have actively mentioned that in the first place. But it didn't. Instead it's just some generic knee-jerk "woman bad" post.

[–]OrionBartholomew 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Ok, king. We'll all follow your edicts from now on, bud. Literally.

[–]PactScharp -5 points-4 points-3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

So this sub is beyond criticism, is what you're saying? Also, you realize you're doing the exact same thing I am, right? As in, arguing how this sub "should be".

[–]OrionBartholomew 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Nope. I'm saying calling out the Pussy Pass is 100% approved in the manosphere. If this hurts your fee fees, maybe you should stop reading the sub.

[–]PactScharp 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Making a post about a woman killing a man is calling out the pussy pass? Clown

[–]The_Bearded_Cyclist[S] 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Why do you need the answers spoon fed to you? I actually posted the article to see who would read it and see the discrimination when it comes to sentencing.

If you don't agree with how I posted it then that's ok, the mods can always remove it and you're free to post content you feel is valid and title it however you desire.

[–]PactScharp -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Oh how convenient. You deliberately left it out as a "test". Sure buddy.

[–]The_Bearded_Cyclist[S] 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Lol not a test mate.

Just not spoon feeding you the answers. Sorry if reading the article was too much work for you.

Like I said, you can post whatever you want and title it however you want.

No one is forcing you to read anything. If you don't like how it's titled then just move on.

[–]PactScharp 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You're obviously full of yourself. You didn't even remotely imply that this was about the sentencing gap. And there is absolutely NO fucking reason not to mention it in the title, if that was your point all along.

"No one is forcing you to read anything. If you don't like how it's titled then just move on."

Again, so criticism on this sub is not allowed. How fantastic.

[–]The_Bearded_Cyclist[S] 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

👍 cool

[–]WaXeDaddy 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Bro you are extremely on edge about this, anyone that frequents this sub or can read knows this was posted about the sentencing aspect not the murder. It’s ok, breath a little and let’s all get along and have a sing song about why feminism is cancer.

[–]PactScharp 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is a flat out lie. Tons of posts here lately have been purely about showing "this woman bad". This needs to stop.

But yes, feminism is cancer.

[–]Greg_W_Allan 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You can make a choice you know. Nobody is forcing you to read every single thing posted and not everything posted is necessarily intended for you. If you're not interested in something move on.

[–]PactScharp 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Again, so this sub is beyond criticism. Got it. Not toxic at all.

[–]Greg_W_Allan 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Completely irrelevant. It doesn't matter if it's a subreddit, a TV station, a newspaper...the choice to consume is yours.

There isn't a single movie showing in local theatres which interests or appeals to me. However, I'm NOT waltzing into theatres dictating to them what sort of movies they should host.

Your sense of entitlement is hanging out of your pants for all to see. Please tuck it back in.
