I'm sure by now we have seen the tweet of " the left fails men and leads them to the alt right pipeline gy giving them terrible advice"

While this is true, I think the left fails in many other regards as well, some of which I want to discuss.

The first way they have failed men is by saying that their problems either stem from capitalism, patriarchy, or other men.

Feminists will often times,(and in response to the tweet, will say the Patriarchy hurts men too) the Patriarchy, or rather I would say men, as that is what they mean when they say Patriarchy, caters to men and enforces societal gender roles that men are forced to enhabit. Such as the provider, protect and the like.

But 1, this doesn't acknowledge that women also enforce traditional gender roles on men, and rather use them to shame men in to not voicing any Critisism of feminists.

And 2 the way they describe a Patriarchy it is a society that is ran by men to benefit men and oppress women. If that is true then would all the stats that show negative societal outcomes for men (such as the gender education gap, male suicide statistics) mean we don't live in a patriarchy.

And wouldnt feminism be unpopular and not the nationwide phenomena it is?

But what I find most confusing is that when you point out any negative things happening to men, they will say that "well the patriarchy hurts men too!" When is men falling out of higher education the fault of a system made to benefit men? How is boys being more likely to get in trouble with teachers that girls a privilege?

And when even a left wing commentator can say the most mild take of " men

And the only solutions they give to men outside of going to therapy( a good idea for anyone, or destroy capitalism, or end patriarchy.

But I also have questions on this as well,

1 who would fight this proposed capitalist revolution?

2 what does a post patriarchal society look?

3 why is a revolution the only solution to the problems?
