"#MeToo is over if we don’t listen to ‘imperfect victims’ like Amber Heard"; Gross article denies Men can be victims of abuse & encourages people to never believe Men. Individuals such as this are why so many Men feel uncomfortable about opening up or seeking support.

I like this site, majority of articles are not based purly on feminist narrative and tend to write objecitve facts, just like in this post. But like in every article you can read on internet (from any site) there are some plausible deniability and miss core of subject.

  1. 20-Something Women Outearn Their Male Counterparts

This is so true, yet women expect men to outearn them, men are still expected to pay for dates. So when women earn money, she do it for herself, while men earn money men and women benefit from it.

  1. Women Suffer Less from Drug Addiction and Suicide

1/4 of women in US are using prescribed drugs for their mental health, thats why author solely include illegal drugs to keep narrative.

  1. Women Make the Majority of the Financial Decisions

So even if women on avrg earn less than men, yet they have access to more money than they make, yet they would complain about patriarchy or other bs.

Closing Thoughts

Like I said in my first paragraph "I like this site", this site tend to be the most objective site for women I know.

“it's clear to see that our society caters mostly to women. Men are actually the ones who need help, and if we want to secure a bright future for our country, we need to start paying attention to what men need rather than continuously pushing a victimhood narrative that paints women as oppressed.”

Couldn’t have said it better

[–]neighborhoodpainter 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

we need to start paying attention to what men need

The messed up thing is, I've heard feminists say, "we don't need to ask what men need because they already have everything handed to them at every corner".

Yeah i see more women reading this and thinking "Awesome! what else can we take from men?"

[+]Holiday-Educator3074 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Do you think women ever didn’t hate/resent men on some level? Looking at history, it seems apparent to me that though we need each other for certain things, there is competition for power; a battle which traditionally men have won because there were laws and customs that prevented the majority of women from being able to gain power.

[–]Amazing-Bit6140 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Women resent men for their power, and then use their own power (sex) to get men to accomplish things in their behalf, and then resent those men for it.

Which means women have two forms of social power, and they’re abusing both to get as much for themselves at mens expense as they can.

If they focused on being worthwhile human beings who tried to move society forward, instead of accumulating as much power as possible for themselves, we might even be able to take them seriously when they call themselves mens equals.

[+]Holiday-Educator3074 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

I mean the same could be said of men in the past. They grossly abused their power against women, and men who did not conform; and this is the result. If they had treated women differently perhaps we wouldn’t despise each other so much. Humans, male or female, aren’t necessarily good. We are revenge-oriented creatures. I don’t think either feminism or men’s rights will chang that whatsoever, as far as personal relationships between heterosexual men and women go. We have different reproductive strategies and that will forever put us at odds.

They grossly abused their power against women

Citation fucking needed.

Taking a tiny tiny minority of men and using their abuses of power to enact revenge against the entire sex is the most sexist thing you could choose to do.

[+]Holiday-Educator3074 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Lol do you really need a citation? It’s embedded throught human literature, art and wisdom. My point is women and men have never really gotten along and they probably never will. We are at odds with and in competition with each other, by our very nature . All these contemporary terms like sexism, feminism, egalitarianism, etc won’t change that.

[–]Amazing-Bit6140 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I agree, women have been whining about how they want all the power and none of the responsibility for quite a while.

Doesn't make any of their claims of oppression accurate.

[+]Holiday-Educator3074 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

So do you think women taking responsibility will solve any of the problems you guys are always whining about? If anything it would make the average men more lonely and less likely to find mates.

[–]Angryasfk 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I wonder how many women will read and absorb this?

But good for the author for writing it and the magazine for publishing it.

[–]Amazing-Bit6140 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think they'll miss the point.

Less "Oh no! we need to help men" and more "AWESOME LETS TAKE THE REST"

[–]neighborhoodpainter 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Are my eyes deceiving me here? A female magazine is saying all this and defending men? Looking more into this website, it looks quite good: "Dismantling The Nuclear Family Isn't The Solution. It’s The Problem - Modern Feminism Is Anti-Man and Anti-Marriage", "The “men are trash” mentality is promoted on social media and in feminist circles and is often seen as a harmless joke, but I can testify that it’s not as harmless as it seems.", "How I Went From Feminist To Feminine".

They've also got a poll on their site: "are you a feminist?" with 6700 votes and 81% said no and 6% said not sure.

[–]skcuf2 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Here's my take on this.

  1. Women Excel in Education - Don't give a shit. Honestly, this makes sense because the traditional education route is the safe bet. Men are typically larger risk takers than women.

  2. Women Live Longer and Are Healthier - Same thing as before, honestly. Men are larger risk takers and that creates a lot more stress. Not to mention we do stupid shit that beats the hell out of our bodies. If we cured all natural diseases, we'd still live shorter lives because of choices.

  3. 20-Something Women Outearn Their Male Counterparts - I assume this is in part because of the education disparity. It takes awhile for a blue collar worker to gain the skills to be able to charge more. Coming out of college, it seems reasonable to expect a salary of 45k+, depending on field.

  4. Women Are Less Likely to Commit a Crime—and Have a Crime Committed Against Them - This probably should have a caveat as to the type of crime. In my experience, women are much more likely to shoplift than men. Violent crimes, men for sure. Nonviolent, it could be a tossup, depending on circumstance.

  5. Women Suffer Less from Drug Addiction and Suicide - Women generally have less stress (risks taken again) and a larger network of people to help. As a man, it really seems like nobody gives a damn. Everyone talks about how much of an issue this is, but I find it completely reasonable. I really don't want to hear about someone else's problems. Most men are probably like me in that aspect. I also don't think women generally understand the issues I've got. I vent my frustrations to my wife, but she can't understand my issues and why they're issues. Men and women just have too different of a view on problem solving.

  6. Women Make the Majority of the Financial Decisions - Depends on what is considered a 'financial decision.' My experience has women making the majority of the purchases and identifying the upgrades to houses. Men typically seem to make the decisions around vehicles and investments. I have a narrow scope for this, however.

  7. Women Rarely Die on the Job - Risk again. If I think about having to spend the next 30-35 years working it depresses me. I'd much rather risk my life making an above average amount of money so I can save and retire earlier. If I die during the process, then the problem solves itself.

Those women will stop doing well when they hit the wall completely

[–]JustinThyme81 points 3 years ago [recovered] (8 children) | Copy Link

What wall? If that will stop women from doing well, how can we avoid it?

[–]DarkestRemorse 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Make better choices in your 20's and don't take advantage until you can't anymore, just because you can now.

Something that modern 20 something year old women as a rule are incapable of doing. Bless the exceptions because there are many however.

[–]WhereProgressIsMade 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

What wall?

The huge logjam of women turning 30 who suddenly realize they're running out of time to have a family and the guys they want the most are going for younger women, who she has trouble competing against due to her fading youth & beauty.

The best way I can think of for an individual woman to not find herself in that predicament is to try to beat the rush and take dating seriously in her 20s.

[–]JustinThyme81 points 3 years ago [recovered] (4 children) | Copy Link

We’ll surely women are evaluated by their personalities first and looks second. Can’t see why a wall would be an issue.

[–]WhereProgressIsMade 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

A guy who wants to maximize his chances of having kids and can get dates with quality candidates under under 30 will tend to do so. All pregnancies at 35+ fall into the medical definition of "high risk". Take a couple years to date and make sure she's a keeper, time for pregnancies, and space between kids and it get's tough trying to fit them in before 35 if she's much over 30 on your first date. Blame mother nature for giving women a time limit.

[–]neighborhoodpainter 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I kind of think the wall is a cope. It's not that women can't find dates when they're in their 30s, it's more like they still want it all in their 30s. Men barely get anything nowadays. Sexless men is 30% or more. 40-50% of men throughout History have reproduced, whereas 80% of women have.

Women in their 30s and 40s can still find men for relationships, and there's plenty of men willing to simp for them, but these women don't want these men because they want "better".

[–]WhereProgressIsMade 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep, I agree. I did try to cover what you're explaining when I wrote

the guys they want the most

but I was probably being too brief.

I don't know why, but it seems like men will often think about what the women want that they're attracted to and try to be more like that kind of guy. Women rarely seem to consider what the men they want are looking for in a woman and try to be more like that. Kevin Samuels tried to explain this to many single ladies who called in asking for help and it amazed me how they usually were pretty dumbfounded.

[–]neighborhoodpainter 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

We’ll surely women are evaluated by their personalities first and looks second. Can’t see why a wall would be an issue.

No, they're not. Men and women are not evaluated by their personalities first and looks second. How can you evaluate someone's personality by looking at them? We can only judge their personalities if we talk to them and many don't even get to the talking stage because they're not good looking enough. We judge people by their appearance first and everything else second.

Also, we perceive better looking people as having better personalities anyway.

Feminists acknowledging and accepting their female privilege? Is this article from a parallel universe?
