For those who are ex red pill what attracted you too it ?

I was attracted too it because I’m a 26 year old young man who has low self confidence/ self Esteem. I have never had any serious relationships and have high functioning autism. Also my stepfather would put hands on me in the past. I was in a dark place at that point and it seemed comforting at first but I noticed how angry and sexist I was becoming till I found this subreddit. I didn’t like who I was becoming.
