5 months...sounds like a comfort test to me.

If she's a loyal plate who doesn't give you shit constantly, cancel plans last minute, make unreasonable requests, or ask for money/things/favors often....then you should find a way to reward her. Actual equity (outside of the laughable feminist context) does exist, and it sounds like she takes care of you pretty well. Sounds to me like she just wants you to ease her mind, anyways. Giving validation shouldn't worry you, if your frame is in tact, both now and in the future.

Is playing the "Don't question the Captain" card, and potentially losing her, worth the alternative? All depends on what value you assign the potential outcomes. Yes - abundance mentality is good....but expending a small amount of effort to maintain a top-tier plates is about 40X easier.

Give her the validation she wants; just not the promise of monogamy if you don't want to.

Obviously she's feeling emotional, as all women are wont to do at times. As for why, who knows. The key difference between a shit test and a comfort test, by the way, is that a shit test is about you, whereas a comfort test is about her and/or her insecurities.

Doesn't really matter which it is. The response is the same here. Amused Mastery. You are the rock, she is the ocean. Treat her like a little girl, who is unsure of something and runs to daddy's lap for reassurance. You don't have to respond directly what she said, don't get caught up in her emotional displays. Be calm, playful, make her laugh. Soon she'll forget she ever felt that way. Women are weird like that ... they are all essentially little girls deep inside.

As for me, in this case, what I would do is text her back something playful, with sexual undertones.

Trying to get under your skin or nail you down? Maybe wants to exploit prospects for a LTR? 5 months is quite some time and you still refer to her as a plate so maybe she has other plans/ideas. Anyway, obvious shit test, don't fall for such BS. I don't see an issue here as it seems that you are good at keeping frame and it comes as no surprise for a girl to say some shit like that.

This isn't a comfort test.

Comfort tests only occur when you're way too alpha & your SMV is head & shoulders above hers (since she's an HB8 it's unlikely) and/or she's approaching the wall.

She's just trying to betasize you into a relationship.
