I think Dana is being a little generous with those numbers. He's also said in the past that the UFC (or the sport of MMA) is neck and neck with football (soccer) globally, which is beyond laughable. The man is a promoter through and through and he'll say something until people believe it's true. He's right about one thing, though, fighting is in our DNA and it will always have it's appeal. That goes for men and women.

I don't really know what the article is getting at, here. The fighters are underpaid and many fans agree with that, but they choose to do what they do knowing the price. Female porn stars get paid more because the demand is high and they can work longer than their male counterparts. It's just practical business and not something we should oppose, if you ask me. The best person for the job, whatever it may be, should be hired and paid whatever they're worth.

Furthermore, these men choose to go into the UFC. Let's not start removing their agency and choice the way feminists have with the porn industry.

maybe, but I'm willing to bet that 85% of those women only know the names Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate; i hope it doesn't, but that number will probably dip once the shine wears off
