And 30 years ago there was far far less interest in it. Today there is far more interest and that demand for it.

BullSHIT there was less demand for it. That issue has been central in the MRM since the day I found out about it (decades ago son, decades), and it hasn't gotten more important, but less important to the MRM in that time.

The demand for reversable male contraception has been there for nearly three generations now.

As to the 'Big Pharma sees no profit' line of bullshit, you'd have to prove Big Pharma hasn't spent money...as in ANY money...on any smaller markets before you could even call that passing the sniff test. And we all know the market for this product is WAY over the threshold.

But hey, continue lying to yourself if you like. I'm just not letting you pass off the same tired excuses I've personally heard for over 20 years as somehow 'new'.

I'm well aware of the 'treatment, not cure' approach and the low profit margin of Vasalgel. Thing is, before that, there were several viable looking methods of accomplishing same that just suddenly went poof after announcing they were "about 5 to 10 years away" from public release.

Consistently people excuse the industry based on claims of lack of interest in men taking such things. Almost never has there been a survey, let alone study, of whether or not this claim is true, and when there has been, it's framed in such a way as to make the product unappealing, as in "Would you take the Male Pill if it meant you might grow breasts?" and that sort of thing.

Companies especially today are more focused on continual streaming revenues.

No kidding. There's an ample market in such a product, whatever those who oppose the idea might think. Men have been asking for such a thing for a long time to no avail. There is an herbal drug used in ...Indonesia I think... which causes temporary sterility in men as well. It's widely used in that area of the world apparently.

Of course, Importing such Herbal remedies into North America is strictly verboten. Rhino horn for ED? Sure. But a plant that gives men a modicum of reproductive rights? Cut that shit out right now!

Seriously man, politics and special interests has WAY more to do with this than economics.

They are indeed the lowest ever - in fact we're teetering on the edge of an unrecoverable population drop. At no point in history has a civilization been able to recover after having a birth rate as low as ours. Some western countries have to go so far as to import their workers because there just aren't enough of them.

Unwanted pregnancies are not the same as unplanned pregnancies. Leaving women firmly in charge of the birth rate is advantageous for the system because it means we'll keep pumping out babies who will have taxable incomes in 20 years. If males are suddenly given unprecedented reproductive control, the birth rate will drop to an unrecoverable level (unless baby incentives for men are introduced, which is highly unlikely).

The system itself has been slowly making having children less and less attractive for men. Men are at the mercy of women when it comes to children, why would they want to take such a massive risk when they can just take a little pill that eliminates that risk?

Then you're projecting what you want to see onto that statement. I meant exactly what I said - some women will like it, and some will like it at some times. Everything else is stuff you're reading into it.

By saying that "a few situations" (vis. of a woman dragging a man into unplanned parenthood, as per the article in question -- I thought you said you read it?) aren't indicative of 'most women'. You still haven't explained what you mean by "a few", btw.

And how does the 'massive number of children born to single mothers' indicate anything about women not wanting men to have birth control?

Because we live in a society where pregnancy, barring parental/religious coercion, is an entirely optional process. A woman can choose to allow or terminate a pregnancy at her leisure, and take months to decide which way to go... and many opt to keep a child, even with the knowledge that the father is not at all interested in being a father, and even with the knowledge that she's setting herself and her child up for financial hardship (unless baby daddy can be financially raped for the next couple of decades). That demand for children isn't going to go away just because a man now has an easy and reliable non-surgical way to prevent pregnancy.

Do you have an proof that the majority of these single mothers stole sperm or skipped pills?

Does that matter? What is demonstrably clear is that these women can, and do, get pregnant irrespective of the will of the putative father if that's their desire to do so. What means they go about obtaining that child (skipping a pill, deceiving a guy by claiming infertility, et al) are just means to an end.

But I have never. NOT ONCE. Heard a woman say that men shouldn't have access to an equivalent birth control pill.

Lucky you. I suspect if the male pill comes to fruition, you'll be exposed to it soon enough.

I don't think you are going witness the slightest protest. If anything, feminists will applaud it for 'relieving' women of that annoying responsibility.
