"Come a little closer then" is a pull-move; you're pulling her towards you in a fun, flirty kind of way. If you've already built rapport with her then this will work well. On the downside, you might risk looking creepy if your SMV isn't high enough.

"Been busy, got a lot going on" is a push-move; you're pushing her away because you're an awesome guy with a lot going on in his life. It shows that you haven't put the pussy on the pedestal and that, with or without her, you're pursuing your mission. Depending on the girl, she might take offence to being labelled as 'unimportant' and hold it against you.

Either response is great, but remember that no response is perfect. It ultimately comes down to personal preference and circumstances.

Whatever the truth is, go with a truncated version of that.

For example if the truth is “work has been super demanding. I’m doing like six 12 hour shifts a week for the next month and I have this stupid high quota to deal with. I barely sleep, and I’ve lost six pounds”, just say...

“Work. So sore. Back rub”

If the truth is that you’ve been devoting every spare moment to the gym, watching your deadlift numbers rise with the same devotion that a stockbroker watches his stocks, just say...

“Oh man, so much gym. Wanna come?”

If the truth is that you’re not that interested in her, don’t reply at all. You don’t owe her an explanation. She wouldn’t give you one if the tables were turned.
