Well, you could start with basic math. The often cited (but very wrong) statistic is 77 cents on the dolar.

Let's assume the horrible assumption that the statistic is right, and that your mother re-distributing your incomes like this makes sense.

That means that the difference is 23 cents. To bring the two of you to an even income level, you'd only need to shell out 11.5% of your income.

Pointing out that basic math to her may save you 13.5% of your income.

It's still not fair, but it's a better situation than you're in now, and doesn't require you to change your mother's ideology.

This is before we even get into the out-dated amount on the impropperly used statistic.
