I just got rejected by silence from a girl that I thought was a slam dunk. She would be my 3rd plate right now, and easily the hottest of the bunch. Here was what I was going on for her being attracted to me:

  • We go to the same gym and she would stare at me for long periods of time with the doe eyes. She didn't do this to anyone else.

  • She initiated touching all the time. Sometimes at really unnecessary times.

  • She laughed at all my jokes.

  • We have a few mutual acquaintances and she was always talking to them about me.

  • She would text me a few times a week, almost always initiating just to shoot the proverbial shit.

  • On a day that I usually go to the gym at the same time as her, she texted me saying that if I didn't show up that she would be devastated.

  • She constantly 'matched' me. If I said that I had a rough night the night before, she did too. If I was leaving because I had a busy day, she did too. etc.

  • Finally, her best friend and I know each other. She told me that this girl wanted to hang out with me.

I asked her out by texting her and asking her if she wanted to grab a drink sometime. No response. (I know...I know...not the right move, but honestly if she was that into it, she would have answered).

Clearly she's not into it. My question is, was this information unreasonable to make a move on?
