I like the point of view in this article. It's the responsibility of BOTH parties to keep the discussion in areas they feel comfortable.

Is that so revolutionary? After all, if I bring up ducks, and you don't want to talk about ducks, how is it at all in my realm of knowledge that you hate ducks?

Likewise, with sex. Some people LIKE talking about sex. If he felt the conversation drifted there organically, and she went there with him, nodding all the way, how is he to know that when she nods THIS way, that it means she's uncomfortable!?

She's got to speak up!

The idea that she can take the conversation, which was obviously personal in nature, and then air it out to the world just because she had feelings, is insane.

The time to say something was RIGHT THEN. Like how the time to use a turn signal is before you turn. These social signals exist for a reason.

This makes exactly as much sense.
