This sub is far more MRA/Egalitarian minded than TradCon minded, and the vast majority of us recognize and respect the fact that men and women have biological differences, but nonetheless believe that those differences should not prevent either gender from having the same opportunities as the other, because most of the differences have a significant amount of overlap.

Conservatism holds that all men are largely the same, all women are largely the same, and tries to push them into rigid gender roles without regards to the individual. Conservatism also ignores how technology has made gender roles obsolete. Pre-Industrial times, men had to be the breadwinner, because the vast majority of jobs were very physically demanding and women needed to spend most of their child-bearing years bearing numerous children. That's not the case anymore, and so there is no problem with women taking on equal or even greater financial responsibilities than their partners.

This is where you're incorrect.

Equality comes with a high price. For one, women's suffrage has created a near 2000% growth of government (measured by % of GNP). Equal opportunity of women into medical schools is creating a doctor shortage in many countries (America will be included soon, as with socialized medicine we will no longer be able to poach doctors internationally). That's just the start of the list.

Conservatism also ignores how technology has made gender roles obsolete.

No, it hasn't. Technology hasn't changed the human condition to the point where men and women are interchangeable. Until that happens, gender roles serve a purpose.
