I am currently out of work until January and have decided to make my fitness my job until then. So I have about 2 and half months to get into the best shape possible. This is my current plan. Any advice, tips or anything else is much appreciated.

My Stats:

32M

5'10"

193lbs

20-25%BF (Not exactly sure, I have some excess fat on my thighs, arms, lovehandles, chest and gut, but I wouldn't call myself fat, just a bit overweight. I have some muscle definition)

Exercise:

Strong Lifts 5x5. 3 days/week, with added accessory work like dips, curls and pull ups.

HIIT. 3 days/week (On opposite days as the weight training) Probably just going to use the treadmills and other cardio equipment at the gym for this.

An 5-10 minute ab routine 6 days a week because I feel like my core is a weak point at the moment.

I did SL5x5 for 2 months during July/August and it was working well, since then I have been doing the p90 (not p90x) program at home with decent consistency (about 4-5 days/week out of 6)

Diet:

I am planning to do a recomposition type diet with about a 500 calorie deficit/day. I am more concerned about lowering my body fat % than I am about putting on a lot of muscle, and I have read on the fitness sub that recomposition is possible and actually better for beginners than bulking/cutting.

According to the TDEE calculator I used I should be aiming for 2,339 calories per day with macros of:

234g protein

104g fats

117g carbs

I take a multivitamin, calcium magnesium vitamin, omega 3 complex and B 100 complex vitamin everyday.

I also take 5g of creatine everday.

I have been reading about intermittent fasting and possibly eating more calories on my workout days and less on my cardio days.

I think this is a pretty good starting approach and will tweak it as the weeks go by. Should I be adding more or different exercise? How do my macros look? Anything else I should be aware of?
