Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Double major. Interested in Entrepreneurship in the future. Should I minor in entrepreneurship to finance?

no. entrepreneur ship is just a fancy word for running your own business. its a buzzword.

get a minor in some kind of business administration instead. it focuses on stuff you'll actually need: marketing, financial statements, paying taxes, and the other boring stuff that needs to be done well for any company (start up or otherwise) to suceed.

edit: If you graduate with a minor in Business Administration, regardless of your major, you'll also have completed most of the undergraduate prerequisite courses you'd need to begin pursuing an MBA—a wise move if you want to fast-track yourself for upper-level management and executive positions in your chosen field.

Entrepreneurship would be favorable to finance. You can hire a finance guy, you can't hire an entrepreneur. That's you. Also, you'll learn the basics of finance.

Remember that nobody became successful by following a roadmap or doing things textbook. They blazed their own trail. Create something cool, and build a team around you of people who meet your style, and compliment your talents.

No. Any excess time should be spent building shit. Finance and business school is for fuckheads that want to join and fuck up established businesses with viable products. They stopped teaching you how to create and run a business a long time ago.

Protip: Before you take ANY money from anyone, be sure to run the terms around someone your trust and is already in the industry. All you really need to know at this point.

DO NOT minor in finance. Even entrepreneurship may not be worth it. I assume you want to go into the tech startup industry, in which case I recommend you do a lot of research online before starting a minor. Finance will not be worth it and most college business classes don't help with startup business type pursuits.

University is very nearly a waste of time. The opportunity cost is high. Every additional minute spent throwing money at a piece of paper needs to be understood for what it’s worth. You certainly don’t need a degree to learn sales and how to start and run a small business.

Get out in the world and do shit. Sales is a good starting point.
