I actually have a social life now, which is great. :)

I noticed some bizarre things in my social circle, though, and I wonder how you guys would explain it.

1: I know a gorgeous tall bombshell of a woman. Her bf is a literally 5'0" Filipino dude with a curly mustache and flower tattoos on his arm who probably weighs about 100 pounds. The dude is tiny. (Apparently gay guys hit on him all the time because of the curly mustache.) And he works in a factory and doesn't make a lot of money at all. How does that square with the whole TRP ideology? There are always people on TRP whining about their height. This guy has never lifted a weight in his life. This gorgeous woman told me that ripped men "intimidate" her. I assumed they were Platonics when I saw them together, and I felt bad for the little dude because I assumed that he would have trouble with women. I couldn't believe it when I found out that they were dating rather than just Platonic friends...I was hitting on her all the time and nobody in our social circle ever told me. But it turns out they've been together for like 4 years. They were friends for 3 years before they started dating. They "have a lot in common," apparently.

2: I had a bizarre experience tonight, too. I was out at a really cool bar with my friends. (Digression: One of my friends actually knows about TRP and has posted on TBP. This was surreal. She actually brought it up, too! This was a profound/strange merger of my internet life and real life, making me wonder, "How many people IRL know about TRP and talk about it?") Anyway, there was this stunning half-Japanese/half-white woman hanging out with us. She was drop-dead gorgeous. Even hotter than the abovementioned woman, I would say. I was so intimidated by her that I was nervous to talk to her; she's way out of my league.

Anyway, this is where things got totally fascinating and bizarre. We went to this really cool bar, and she tells a couple of my other friends how she has some Tinder dates lined up and how she's really nervous that this one guy hasn't been responding to her Tinder messages. And this other lawyer guy hasn't texted her back about tomorrow night's date. And she shows us her Tinder profile and asks us to help her improve it. She was genuinely showing me and other people her profile and genuinely asking for advice on how to improve it. I was thinking, "Shouldn't she be getting tons of matches by any guy who has two eyes in his head? Why is she expending all this effort in the way that you would of men? She's the prize, not the one who needs to implement game, right?" She told me she got a lot of matches but a lot of them didn't respond. She was texting them first. How fucking weird is that? I'm like, "Did I land in Bizarro World where everything is the opposite and hot girls are the desperate/frustrated ones on Tinder?"

Then things got even weirder. She said her type was "nerdy" guys. She said "Jesse Eisenberg" was her type. I thought that was interesting. "Jesse Eisenberg?" How does that square with TRP ideology? She likes "smart, nerdy" guys.

3: She said she saw a couple "nerdy" guys in the bar wearing plaid who she thought were cute, but she was too shy to talk to them. Keep in mind this woman is a solid 8/10...she was too shy to talk to a couple nerdy guys.

She asked me and everyone else for tips on how to approach guys and how to pick them up. I was flabbergasted. I know all about "game" from the male perspective, but this is a hot girl trying to figure out game! Hot girls don't need fucking game...this was bizarre! I tried to explain that she is the prize and all she has to do is flash some IOIs and then the men will game her. She wanted some of us to wing for her. Apparently she was too shy to approach one guy so her friend had to approach him on her behalf. The guys apparently weren't interested because they were "just there with their friends." So she got demoralized from that and gave up.

She asked for even more advice. She even practiced her IOIs on me like flirty eye contact and brushing her hair behind her ear and so on. She wanted my opinion because I have the "male gaze." I think she tried again, but failed again. One of my friends even advised her to bring friends for "social proof." I'm like, "WTF! Hot girls don't need fucking social proof! What is this...TRP?"

There was a super-cool, hot, black waitress with a nose-ring and tattoos. I wanted to prove my point, because by this point I was starting to feel like I was insane. I asked the waitress for her opinion on my 8/10 female friend's predicament in developing game so as to pick up nerdy guys. Ahhh: sweet, sweet vindication. She laughed and said, "You don't need to do anything. Just show up and be pretty." Yes! Finally I confirmed I wasn't insane. Hot girls don't need game. I asked the waitress whether my friend was hot; the waitress confirmed. I think the waitress was just as confused/weirded-out as I was. She confirmed that it should be on Easy Mode for my friend. All the waitress said was, "You need to find you Thing." I asked for elaboration. The waitress elaborated, "You know, what's your Thing? You need to find your Thing and work it. Are you Sexy? Are you Cute? My Thing is I have long hair and a strong face so I have a lot of attention on me." (Strong=good in this case. It's interesting how that works. Men need to have a "strong" face I would assume. But women can have a soft OR "strong" face. There is a kind of "strong" chiseled/defined/striking face that a woman can have that is totally hot/beautiful/feminine and not the slightest bit masculine AFAIK. The waitress was fine af.) My hot/frustrated/shy friend told the waitress that she was shy and the waitress said, "Well, that's your Thing then. You're Cute. Just work it."

The waitress was 100 times cooler/smoother than me and my friends. I imagine that that comes from a social job like being a waitress. Plus she was super fucking cool and badass.

My friend eventually gave up and went home dejected. What do you guys make of a gorgeous woman struggling like that, being frustrated like that, and being desperate/thirsty like that?

It was like she was a 2/10 woman stuck in a 9/10 woman's body. It was weird.

(Later on my friends asked me what my "Thing" was as per the waitress's comment. I said I wasn't sure. It's not so simple for men.)

4: Do attractive women need "game?"

5: Do you know any women who work on "game?" I assumed that this was a male thing. Women are the prize. Men are the ones trying to develop their game and shit.

6: Do you know any stunning women with low confidence? What explains this?

7: What's your confidence like?

8: What's your "Thing," as per the waitress's comment?
