If that was my biz, i'd not pay unless the DV was proven in court.

The simple accusation doesn't make it true so businesses shouldn't pay for the eventual acquittal of the accused.

As far as incentives go for making false or misleading allegations of domestic violence, here is another beauty from Australia.

Claim that you are the victim of DV, and get 5 days of paid leave.

I just heard today that in Australia, the largest non-skilled migrants to the country are PNG women claiming domestic violence.

If they make the claim they get automatic Australian citizenship.

...but please don't tell me that such huge incentives are not massively abused.

Meh, seems fine to me... Who cares if some people abuse it? As long as people taking the extra leave aren't added to the DV stats...
