Women first is UN policy. Below is a quote from the document UN Commission on the Status of Women, Release of women and children taken hostage, including those subsequently imprisoned, in armed conflicts : report of the Secretary-General, 29 November 2007, E/CN.6/2008/7

The Commission strongly urged all parties to armed conflicts to respect fully the norms of international humanitarian law in armed conflict and to take all necessary measures for the protection of the civilian population as such, and to release immediately all women and children who had been taken hostage. The Secretary- General was requested to ensure the widest possible dissemination of all relevant material, in particular material relating to Security Council resolution 1325 (2000), within existing resources.

Resolution 1325 calls on all parties to conflict to take special measures to protect women.

As to your first question:

Since when does not having a vagina make my life any less valuable than a woman's?

"Women and children first" wasn't really a thing until Roughly Victorian England and was based not on women being more valuable but on the idea that women, like children were less able to fend for themselves.

You will never see a feminist arguing this point. Why?

Actually, early feminists did argue this point and actually wrote against the idea, claiming that men got out of the situation easily by dying, whereas women had to survive with their children alone and without manly support.

Today, the rule of thumb seems to be to help the most vulnerable first. Children, sick people, disabled people. In practice, the majority of survivors of those kinds of disasters (ship) are usually men and there are plenty of anecdotes by men admitting that their priority was self preservation, even at the expense of babies. In fact, the crew usually takes care of themselves first, as evidenced by the Costa Concordia story.
