As Stephen’s tragic suicide shows, to falsely accuse a man of rape is to play Russian roulette with his life.

So true. I wish everyone who comes over here to lecture us that "false rape accusations aren't that bad and besides, they never really happen anyway" would read this article.

This won't stop until we have real punishments for false accusers and keep the names of the accused secret (thus taking away some of the value of falsely accusing someone for revenge).

I'm sick and tired of having to frame this crime within the confines of how it affects women rather than the very real and direct ways it impacts the lives of men.

I don't even care what the article is about ... the title says it all. Every fucking time we talk about false accusations , we have to mention how bad it is for the "real" victims as opposed to focusing on the fact that some guy's life is ruined. Why the fuck is that secondary to the potential impact on women ?

Sorry...that whole thing just pisses me off.
