Assuming these aren't sex slaves doesn't this mean women are also chasing older men? Why is dating presented as something men determine and women must helplessly follow along?

like how hugo implies that some women don't cringe at the thought of dating someone as little as a year younger than them, but you will meet the odd woman if not who dated someone who's more or less 20 whilst they were more or less 15 at the time

Sometimes I think biology can be too much of an excuses as social conditioning plays a part too, women have generally been conditioned to find a guy who is more dominant than them, thus they generally go for richer, older and taller guys, or at least find those features quite attractive. Although it's possible for guys to date women who are taller, richer and older than them it is much harder, so naturally they are generally going to end up going for younger women. However 50 year olds banging girls on the wrong side of 20 is pretty uncommon, and the older people get the less the age difference tends to matter

I thought Johnny Depp was married with kids? If I'd known he was single I might have put off having kids for a few more years..

Jokes aside, I don't see why there has to only be one explanation for this phenomenon. I don't doubt that there's a biological drive for men to get with younger women, but that doesn't mean that there's not a psychological aspect to it as well.
