I encounter this type of thought process regularly. If you're John Q. Public who has had no experience with family courts, then you probably assume that the main issue is deadbeat dads who ditch their families to buy sports cars and date young women.

Then you hear a father say something like: 'she hit me in front of my kids for years, but the courts refused to prosecute because I was never injured', or 'We have equal parenting time, but she just left the state, and I have no recourse'.

The reaction is either a) 'My primary assumptions about this might be wrong maybe I should look at the hard data' or b) 'Nah, there must be another side to the story, or something the father did wrong and isn't telling me.' If you want a hint at which one get's picked more often, go over to r/politics and see how often people challenge their own assumptions.

In the rare case where someone close to you is willing to really look at what happened. Then you are finally upgraded to someone who 'fell through the cracks, but you must understand that we need all these tough rules for fathers because of all the deadbeat dads.'

Yup...most people think that everything is hunky dory because they're told that men have all the power. What they don't realize is that A) their perception of men's rights is framed by feminists and B) those same feminists don't want anybody to know that actually , yes , men have pretty much no rights to their own children when compared to women.

If people know just how biased the laws were feminists would have to strike that one off of their list. Can't allow that to happen.

Just because you can find out where this took place doesn't mean you should. Don't go being a downvote brigade or any other bullshit, we need to be better than that!

How many men want to raise their biological children, are prevented from signing the birth certificate, are denied any legal recourse by the court system, and then have their child given away without their consent?

You're claiming that AMR is unaware of how widespread this epidemic is, so there must be plenty of evidence of it.
