I think that a functioning society must necessarily make sure to provide for the needs of those in dire circumstances. This means providing for those who find themselves homeless until they can carry their own weight again.

So, in principle, I agree to a point. My problem is that they wish to exclude men from this "right" or to at least prioritize every single woman over any single man in this "right". That is the problem.
