Ill translate this spin from CNN. If you remove single mothers from this deceptive article, then it would be 33% of 40% or roughly 13% of households women were the primary breadwinner.

And single mothers median income was $23,000/year. Congrats, you live in poverty.

Also this nice tidbit of info at the bottom of the article.

Single mothers are also less likely to have a college degree, tend to be younger and are more likely to be black or Hispanic, whereas the married moms tend to be older, disproportionally white and college educated.

Translation - most single moms are uneducated black or hispanic women living in poverty. This is the real story.

When you look at this bottom line, I fully agree with what the fox headline states. Only 13% of actual dual-income households have women being the primary breadwinner. Of the remaining households, women are the primary source of income because they're the ONLY source of income (single mothers), and they are on average raising their kids in poverty. IMO this is wrong and agree it hurts kids. If you can't provide a decent lifestyle for your family you shouldn't be having kids in the first place IMO.

Barely employed single mother living off child support would be considered the primary source of income in the household because the father would not be part of the household.

Not a fan of Fox and never watch it but have a look at the dismal stats for children raised by single mothers. So it is a concern.

Also bear in mind 'bread winner' here is mostly welfare queens and vaginamony extortets. Not to be confused with people who work and earn money.
