Most courts have an easy solution for this: they provide an audio recording of the proceeding. If you want to appeal you have a court reporter listen to the proceedings and provide a transcript. the opposing party can then challenge the transcript and provide their own if they think the first party got it wrong.

At the very least, ALL court proceedings should be broadcast on YouTube in HD. I am told there are some amateur Heroes who would gladly transcribe the video manually, if the automatic subtitles are inaccurate.
