Excellent article that not only confirms the Pareto Principle, but hands it down from the mountain.

As bleak as this picture appears, there is still hope. You do NOT have to be in the top 20% globally; you don't even have to be in the top 20% for your country, state or even your city. You DO have to be in the top percentage in terms of her options available at a given time.

We've all heard the saying about being the biggest fish in a little pond; even though it sounds like a rationalization for trying to coast, it isn't - not to someone who has taken the pill. Becoming the best version of yourself isn't a guarantee that you'll be able to pull every hottie you set your sights on, but you are stacking the deck in your favor. The sidebar mentions these things, but they bear repeating:

1) Lift, to improve your SMV and boost your self-confidence. You are the product, so do what you can to be the best product on the market.

2) Dress well. Clothes do indeed make the man. Your manner of dress is a static form of advertising for the product. A decent wardrobe makes the difference between a flyer taped to a telephone pole in BFE and a billboard in Times Square on New Year's Eve.

3) Be able to have a conversation. This is where game and frame make all the difference. Being able to verbally engage is the equivalent of having a really good ad campaign on the local TV and radio stations. This is the dynamic form of advertising, where you are actively making your sales pitch. Have a good message and stay focused on delivering the message.

4) Work on knowing how to be a good lover - the "Sex God Method" gets a lot of mentions because it works. You've spent the time developing the product and advertising the product; make sure the test drive exceeds expectations. Don't be an F-250 . . . be a Porsche.

This article essentially confirms everything TRP says, especially regarding hypergamy--women only want to sleep with the most attractive guys.

Quartz reported on this finding, and also cited another article about an experiment with Tinder that claimed that that “the bottom 80% of men (in terms of attractiveness) are competing for the bottom 22% of women and the top 78% of women are competing for the top 20% of men.”

Yep. This is why I advise guys to get off Tinder and SOD (swipe/online dating). Because let's be honest 78% of women aren't attractive, and yet if you're in the top 20% of dudes, those girls are all competing for you. What we want is women who are top 20%, and in that case you probably need to be in the top 2-5% of dudes--if you're in that echelon, congratulations Chad, go forth and slay.

If you're not, you're better off to learn cold approach.
