I have kids. Would definitely recommend against.

If you decide to ignore this advice, approach marriage like you would hiring. You're hiring a person, at extreme cost and risk to you, to perform a role. Think about it that way.

My kids are great and my wife is a fantastic mother. It's still a shitty deal, though. Even worse than marriage!

Most trp are against marriage but if you want to be a father its kinda hard not to. Even If it is just “your turn” imo you can find women who are intelligent, kind, have good jobs, and want to be mothers. But be very selective. Obviously you don’t believe you’ll live happily ever after with some bullshit soul mate romance but if you view marriage as more of a contractual agreement like they did 100 years ago it’s do-able. It’ll probably end in divorce at some point by if you can get 15-20 years as partners in raising a family I think it’s worth doing. Make sure she’s smart, a good person, and really wants to be a good mother just like you want to be a good father. Plus there are ways to avoid divorce rape, such as prenups and things. My dad was 43 when he got married and had a “child raising pre nup”. He had complete control over how his kids were raised like religion, schooling, and mutual custody if something were to happen. They eventually got divorced after me and siblings were out of the house but there were probably 15 years there of a nice stable family household, and now my dad is very happy plateing old women in a 55+ community.

If I did not have two sons already, I would be looking to do so. Ill be damned if I'm going to be the first in my line of 4 billion years to fail at reproducing. Yeah, our society has fucked up the contract, but thats the hand we're dealt. Nothing against those that choose not to, but for me, the biological imperative is a big part of the closest thing I have to religious beliefs.

kids: dangerous but doable. Read Black Dragon Blog guy's guide to safely having children.

marriage: fucking terrible idea. Don't offer the mother of your children money to break up the family, which is what marriage is.
