Bear with me: the left has embraced identity politics and feminism for a host of reasons like shifting of the Overton window, disinvestment from the working class etc. They are heavily promoting feminist rhetoric through thousands of channels. On the other hand many generations of men have grown weary of it because a) the epidemic of divorces penalized older men, b) the rising of dating apps had further compromised the dating scene with few guys getting the lion's share. If you are a younger man and you experience negative feedback or indifference from women, you can't be well disposed towards feminism whether you have studied the subject or not.

So we have a movement that it's constantly and artificially propped up by politicians but it's loathed by a large part of the population. If the left disinvests from it, feminism will burst with a resounding noise.
