I saw some interesting tweets by Cassie on this topic and thought I'd reproduce them here, for your interest and for future reference if you see feminists attempting to discredit Cassie in the future.

Here are the lies and myths she tackled:

Lie: The Red Pill was funded by MRAs and they turned it into pro-MRA propaganda

Truth: "There is only one person who has had complete and absolute control over The Red Pill’s story, message, and execution, and it is Cassie Jaye. Cassie did not answer to anyone; The Red Pill is entirely her vision and depicts her own journey making this film. Cassie Jaye self-funded the film and also borrowed money from her boyfriend and mother. After 2 years of production, Cassie needed more funding for post-production and turned to a crowd-funding website called Kickstarter. Kickstarter prohibits funders (aka “backers”) from having any ownership or control over the Kickstarter campaigns they contribute to. The only way for Cassie to raise the funding she needed to complete The Red Pill while remaining entire ownership over the film was by raising funds on Kickstarter, and that’s what she did."

DISPELLING MYTHS ABOUT THE RED PILL

Lie: Cassie edited the interviews with feminists to take their words out of context and make them look bad

Truth: Cassie has published the raw, unedited interviews. "Some claim that Cassie Jaye edited interviews to manipulate viewers of the documentary. In order to help disspell this myth and to inspire further discussion, The Red Pill: Raw Files were created. Each segment includes raw interview footage not seen in the film."

Lie: Cassie was the director of the film, but not the producer

Truth: "There were 3 producers: Cassie Jaye, Nena Jaye and Anna Laclergue, all women and all self-identifying feminists at the time of making the film."

Lie: Cassie was never really a feminist

Truth: There is ample historical evidence to show clearly that Cassie was a feminist in the past and was recognised as such by leading feminists at the time:
