Vasectomy is an outpatient procedure with minimal quality of life complications, even in the worst case scenarios you can still lead a healthy, active life. Tubal litigation is a surgery, can result in internal damage to the woman, and eventually may require a hysterectomy to resolve complications, resulting in potential worse conditions down the line. Damage to the pelvic floor structure may result, drastically reducing the woman's quality of life as her internal organs risk falling out of her.

Nowadays they can put a removable clip on the vas deferens, takes 10 minutes. Entirely reversible. Minimal recovery time. Complications exceedingly rare, and just as easily reversible.

That's a bunch of disinformation, so let's fix these misconceptions:

He is being a child, no doubt. But he's not completely wrong to think that the surgery might cause something to go wrong with his genitals; he's correct, as I will cover later.

Because they are Catholic. They will also refuse to do vasectomies because it violates the same moral principle of "Preventing life = murder." Seems like you don't really understand Catholics.

Clearly not, it can result in inability to achieve an erection. I don't consider that "healthy," do you? The point of vasectomies are to make your sex life free of worry, rather than to completely ruin it.

And finally, something you didn't cover is that vasectomies have an unfortunate chance of reversing themselves, whereas that's impossible for tubal ligations. So if they're trying to minimize their chance of pregnancy, tubal ligation is more logical.

Paying for a vasectomy out of pocket is a lot easier than tubal, they have six kids, only she works so that might be a consideration. $1000 vs $6000. With a clip, rather than snip, your biggest concern becomes easily reversible, as I made sure to state already.

Whatever claims you can make towards the negatives of vasectomy, tubals have the same if you do enough digging. With the added bonus of damaging internal organs and potentially vaginal prolapse in future complications can't be ignored.

In this specific case, in this specific argument, everything that can go wrong with messing with her reproductive system IS, to the point she's nearly died before because of complications. And that absolutely has to weigh in heavily. There's also a possibility he is actively sabotaging the situation to get her pregnant.
