I started reading the Guardian in the early 80s, when it was once an independent and trusted news source, albeit with a leftish slant for its main demographic of teachers, social workers, academics etc...
I even read the infamous 'Women's page' which was just a few pages each week, where all these fringe opinions used to be confined.
Now it's like a reversal, you have to look for pages that aren't women, women, women....
What a rag it has become.

The writer simply cannot see that centuries of research and legislation in one direction only does not mean that we need more research and legislation in that direction, but instead we need to start looking the other way. What is wrong with some "writers"?

I'm kinda curious as to whether misogyny exists. That a group of mostly women who believe that men are evil and that hating men is a viable act of hating your oppressors claims that misogyny is a thing, while blaming men for everything wrong in the world, is not a compelling argument.

This is not because we believe that men are not harmed, that men cannot be abused or that men cannot be oppressed – but because misandry seems to be thrown around (generally at women) for some pretty tenuous things that definitely are not hatred or hostility to men.

What she has not done is show why misandry (whether rare or not) should not be as illegal as misogyny. The fact that she thinks not shows that she has a feminist view of equality, it must only benefit women. And that she really does support hating men.
