I'm extremely confused, "delaying cancer diagnosis"? that's not how semiology works.

The fact that the U.K. has cancer diagnosis and possibly even treatments available in the NHS is insane. No shit the quality of treatment is going to be wretched...

Semiology is the study of signs and symptoms with the purpose of forming a proper final diagnosis.

This doesn't "delay", if the information is available, it must be shared and acted upon immediately. Failure to do so is in fact, a violation of the Hippocratic Oath.... however, since the NHS is notoriously shit, I can understand that they perhaps can't rely on information sometimes and need to double check, or the equipment is unreliable, or there isn't anyone to operate it, or read the results.
