Today I stopped by my attorneys office to deliver a check. She told me that the lady sitting in court in the afternoon on my second trial day was a state rep from my surrounding towns. She is also a family law attorney. I assume she was there to deliver some legal papers for a case and at first I thought it was my STBX’s aunt. I told my sister today and after she saw her website she said yes that indeed she remembered seeing her.

My attorney told me that she later told her that she was appalled by the way that the judge treated my attorney while she was trying to cross examine my STBX. Judge kept reprimanding her for her questions/saying she wasn’t wording them right and told her to stop asking questions about my STBX work history. Told her it’s established that she is retired. And that’s where the afternoon ended with judge saying that not one of us wants to settle and she did not even want to hear closing statement. Hard to interpret this - or whether she is somehow in cahoots with my STBX’s Attorney. But I am glad that the rep witnessed this exchange.

Stopped by marital home before returning to work and wife is belittling my friends all men in their early 50’s. - a childhood friend and my best man with his own printing business, a corporate accountant friend from high school and a retired divorced postal worker who now supports people going through divorce and attends their court dates.
(by the way his divorce attorney is now my wife’s attorney) but he don’t care he supports all those in our divorce support group and wife’s attorney knows it.

Wife saying “you should have brought YOUR LITTLE FRIENDS the day you were testifying so they could hear you. Is now telling me she will play recordings for the judge and asking me tauntingly like which one do you want me to play??? Huh Huh little boy. Everyone knows it was not normal to cut a tire down from tree. You could have had children get hurt. Saying to me that my neighbor is furious blah blah blah. Saying everyone knows you are hiding money and made me pay for my dinners for 17 years. I don’t respond to any of it. Also saying do not take anything out of the house. She has list and pictures. Do not even take the tweezers and bring everything back that you took out!

Friends think she will crack up when this is over.

I am glad I am staying at a friends house. My attorney is again working on an offer so that we can give her an advance to get out of house but I doubt that will happen. She wants to stay till I close pool. I am hoping for a target date of November 1 for her to vacate.
