Same thing is happening in Croatia.

The problem is that opposition to this Istanbul Convention is not motivated by any concern for men. Instead, it's because Convention includes some parts that relate to gays and trans people.

It was the same with VAWA. Some Republicans opposed it, but not because it's sexist and misandric, but because of the following:

"The Act's 2012 renewal was opposed by conservative Republicans, who objected to extending the Act's protections to same-sex couples and to provisions allowing battered illegal immigrants to claim temporary visas).[6]"

As you can see, there is no mention of men here.

These people, Republicans in US and various conservatives in Europe, are not motivated by any compassion for men.

This shows the crucial difference between anti-feminists and MRAs.

So far was rejected in: Bulgaria, Slovakia, Croatia and Hungary... Eastern Europeans make me proud!

Except my stupid retarded country - Romania... we quickly adopt all the demented western laws and have a long tradition of sucking the boots of any empire that dominate us...

Thankfully we also have a long tradition of not actually fallowing the laws.... it is a social adaptation on centuries of outside occupation and oppression. We kind of don't care about the laws, some call this "corruption", I call it "natural adaptation to oppressive tyrannical power structures".
