Surprising that she got 18 years (life, my ass) but not so surprising that not ONCE in the entire article is the term domestic violence used. Also interesting is the bunch of stories in the sidebar -- a dozen of them, virtually all about women as victims. Good old ABC, even when covering DV against men, they somehow manage to make it about women.

As awful as this is, I'm happy that for once the children survived the attack. Usually it's either everyone dies or the father has to go on with life knowing his children were murdered by their mom.
