Time moves forward nothing changes. Through history if a civilization needed to sacrifice people to war it has always been men. We have been the ones forced to get blown up, shot, stabbed, maimed and killed. Although we're not in war now the sentiment is the same, men are disposable and discarded. We are taught that our only value comes from providing for a woman to give her an easy life. If you can't do that then you're essentially worthless to society.
