Let me offer some context first. Last week I met a girl at a bar and she gave me her number and she asked me out to coffee. I was thinking awesome, we are off to a great start already. The following week I meet her for coffee and then we go to a bar. Coffee went good but at the bar we really hit it off. Needless to say, I was pretty happy as we had a lot in common and wanted to pursue a second date.

Fast forward a few days, I text her to ask what she has going on for the following night. She tells me she is doing a girls night out. I know that being upfront and assertive with women can work to your advantage.

I simply respond with "sounds great we can go out for lunch tomorrow then". 12 hours pass by and I get the response "sorry can't make lunch today, have been running around getting ready for tonight. Maybe next week"

Basically, I'm asking for advice on how to approach this? What would be the proper response?
