In general the best places to get this sort of data are government websites such as FBI.gov

And

Are good places to start.

But be warned: its a great idea to check the methods used to gather the data. Agencies like the FBI are using arrest report records to gather their data, while BJS is a bit more spread out using survey data and arrest records.

Agencies like the CDC use the general population in their surveys.

Each method has it's pros and cons and none is better than the other. Its just a matter of what your purpose is for looking into these things. Make sense?

If you check out the FBI 2019 hate crime stats here You should be able to see all of the anti-gay vs anti-lesbian number of incidents, perps and number of victims.

Also, if you check out the National Crime Victimization Survey here and download the pdf towards the bottom of the page you will see the characteristics of all hate group victims from their race to their religion.

According to this report there were 1 per 1,000 men and 0.8 per 1,000 women on all crime. But specifically for violent crime it was 0.9 per 1,000 men vs 0.6 per 1,000 women.

Also there is the Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics here where you can clearly see the demographics of hate crime victims.

As stated in my earlier post, be mindful of your sources. These reports all use different sources of data, but its pretty common knowledge that men tend to be overrepresented among victims of violent crime.
