GF told me from the start she's friends with her ex. Hid something she told me 5 months later.

So my girl and I have been together a year. IN the beginning she told me her ex is desperate to be friends, but she guaranteed she would never meet him in person. He was crying so she felt pity and took him as a text-buddy.

I am 100% sure she never met him because he lives in a different country.

I was ok with it in the beginning and held my frame. Had control over her phone (including social media) to occasionally check on her and it was all clean.

However, 6 months in to the relationship, she told me this: "A few months ago, that shit ex of mine called me and was like, please visit me I miss you. Don't tell your bf and we can keep meeting here and there. Nothing physical or anything, I just need a friend. So I cut him off since then. Just wanted to let you know. And I swear on my life I've never met him, you would know if I did."

What I believe is that she never met him behind my back and trust her with this. However, I feel pissed at the fact that she should've known what kind of filth he is. They broke up because he cheated on her. And he cries for a few hours on the phone so she desperately wants to be friends with him?

And to top it off, she tells me about this call months later. She said the reason she didn't tell me earlier is because I'd be pissed knowing someone is talking to my girl like that.

Something else which adds to this: When we were messing around in the early days, before she became LTR, she never told me about this ex until we decided to get official. She said "there are many things I want to tell you, but I wanna hold your hand and tell you everything." This was 3 months into us being interested in each other. AND IN THOSE 3 MONTHS, she used to mention this guy here and there (he's a sports athlete so he's sort of famous) and used to say that he's a good friend of hers.

What do I make of this? Is she over him? When she was on friend-terms with him she used to mention him often. He's an athlete (and semi-famous sort of). She's 100% loyal to me so far, but would she go to him the minute they "bumped" into each other somewhere?
