Former pick me here and still trying hard to recover. I was in a weird situation with a guy who wanted me to stay loyal to him but was seeing other women on the side. Upon being confronted, he became shameless and said that he didn't mean being exclusive in that sense.

He was the one who introduced me to this subreddit calling FDS women crazy, disgusting and unreasonable because he was a typical LVM; broke and scared that all women would be gold diggers, not spending money on women in general and being cheap. He'd tell me that women wanting men to pay on dates or pick them up was unreasonable and regressive; that the women who expect basic decency are gold digging whores and that such women always end up taking advantage of their men instead of being living and supportive. For the longest time, I believed him and thought that I was doing something right by bending over backwards for men and I'd get happy when men told me that I was very caring and nice. ( I cringe when I think about it now )

But after reading the horror stories and living one myself, I decided to level up and have been happy and content ever since. You have saved me from an extremely toxic and disgusting relationship and have improved my life, I can't thank you all enough!!
