Sb-145 california bill. This bill makes it so that "certain acts" no longer force sex offenders to sign up on the registry. I believe this is important to mens rights with how little people seem to care when a minor male is taken advantage of. This would make it even easier for predators to get away

Although it looks fair but that's not the real intention. This is another way of saying teachers that rape male students will not be put on sex offender registry so they will get to keep their teaching license.

As far as I know all it does is mean that the courts get to decide whether or not certain people need to register as a sex offender instead of it being automatic. While there's certainly room for abuse, as there is with all court judgements, letting the courts decide on the facts of the case instead of using a blunt instrument based on numbers is probably a good thing. Don't forget that minor males being shunted onto the sex offender registry for life when they shouldn't have was also a men's rights issue and changes like this are part of the solution to that. The law has also apparently already been like this for a while for vaginal sex and the primary purpose of this law is to expand it to include oral sex and anal sex so that gay people etc. are not discriminated against.

Also, you said in your other comment that the Romeo and Juliet clause already exists and so makes this redundant. This isn't quite true because California does not have a Romeo and Juliet clause and even if it did it would not solve the problem of people who shouldn't be on the sex offender registry getting put onto it.

Certain Acts? What do you mean by certain Acts? The only time you would have to sign up on the sex offender registry list when dealing with a minor in general has to do with sexual assault some Curious which acts are being protected by this bill because in theory it would be redundant would it not? To me this really feels like the government is trying to make pedophilia legal in some type of stance based on the whole Epstein deal. As I stated in the title I believe sharing this to this sub was important based off of the ongoing battle that men's rights activists are in when it comes to rape on men. Especially with how often female teachers get away with grooming and raping minors. I really feel like this helps protect those disgusting Predators even more.
