High school girls admitted to targeting and falsely accusing a boy of sexual assault because they 'just don't like him'. Boy was fired from his job, forced to serve time in a juvenile detention facility, is now home-schooled and suffers psychological trauma. School officials just didn’t care.

"But what about all the unpaid emotional labor that women do?"

Or some such nonsense.

Four years ago. Lazy argument then and lazy argument now.

Researchers (and reporter) claim the remaining 5% gap just has to be down to sexist cultural norms that disadvantage women, right? Right. So what didn't the researchers and reporter ever think to factor in? Men consistently taking on more dangerous, harmful, life-threatening jobs than women and women having the female privilege of avoiding those jobs (which they persistently do avoid).

Plug the "Workplace Gender Death-and-Dismemberment Gap" into your equations and that remaining 5% tells me men are grossly undervalued in the workplace and women, by parity, overvalued.

It's all so predictable, isn't it?

If you control for all the (quantitative) variables available, it's actually a ≤2% gap now.

You probably know this already, but for other readers, while this could still be partially be explained by discrimination, there are other qualitative factors that contribute; salary negotiation is usually the go-to, and there's a lot of research about how we can reorganize society in order to make women feel more entitled and confident in asking for more money. What's left out are other qualitative phenomena, like women asking for lower pay in exchange for non-monetary benefits, e.g. being able to leave early to take care of kids or get afternoons off. That is a result of a contract negotiation that quantitatively speaking shows the woman getting paid less without necessarily getting less from their company; I've personally worked with several women who have negotiated for benefits like this.

I'm reminded of the kerfuffle with the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team, wherein they took a safer contract exchanging pay for guaranteed benefits and lower performance based benefits than the men did, and then when the season played out, they realized if they'd have taken the men's contract instead of writing their own safer one, they'd have made more money. That was the basis of their suit: retroactively trying to renegotiate their payment/benefits contract (via lawsuit) to get paid more.

Of course. I chose instead to focus on the "Workplace Gender Death-and-Dismemberment Gap" in order to highlight just how starkly dishonest and morally benumbed the feminists are on this--that's all.

Everything you say above is true--yes, indeed.

Dr Warren Farrell wrote a book on this which shows exactly why men earn more money than women. The irony is that the reason for him writing the book, was due to the fact that he was perplexed as to; why companies didn't only hire women to pay them less to make higher profits.
