I’m not from Denmark, but surely it wouldn’t be as straight forward as 100% murder.

She has pulled out a weapon capable of causing serious injury or death and clearly threatens to stab him, both verbally and with the motions she’s making with the weapon

Had he pulled out a gun and shot her while she was just standing there, I could see some places finding the force as excessive. But if she had started to walk towards him with the weapon, still making threats and then he shot and killed her, I’d expect most places to find that as justified force, given she was putting his life in danger and he doesn’t exactly seem to have many none lethal options, which wouldn’t put himself in danger.

The punch was only successful as the guy caught her from the side while she was focused on the original guy. Had the guy in blue tried to punch her, there’s every chance she could have stabbed him

That is just it, she isn't making any advancement on him. She is just standing there (with a knife) yelling threats. It would not be considered self defence here to shot her in that situation.
Based of what I see, WeWillAllDie666 said he could when she started coming towards him, but that wasn't what I'm seeing. She is standing there, acting like a complete lunatic (I'm not exactly trying to defend her), but she isn't acting like someone going at him.

And we have 3 types of sentencing you can receive for killing someone, intentional manslaughter (murder), unintentional manslaughter and "violence with death to follow".
It isn't unintentional or an accident if you purposefully shot someone to kill them, so it would be trialed as murder.
I could see him getting a low punishment, but I'm convinced he would be charged with murder, found guilty and spend time in prison for it.

Again since you seem completely unable to read, I'm not expressing my person opinion. It's my interpretation of my local laws that I doubt you know two shits about. So don't give me "fucking textbook" when you have no fucking clue what you are talking about.

If someone is threatening your and you take the first physical step that is not seen as selfdefence here, you escalated. If someone is literally hitting you and you pull out a knife you have brought a deadly weapon into the mix, that means you escalated the situation and it's no longer self defence.
The circumstances may lessen your sentencing, but it wont get you off the hook completely.
No warning shooting her where she is standing, I don't think that'll go as self defence. Raising your gun, and her actually getting close to him, then shot, that could be self defence.

You can think that is stupid or whatever, but that is how the legal system here works and that is what I'm explaining.

If you are unable to differentiate between me saying "The law where I live is...." and "My personal opinion is....." then I'll argue I'm not the idiot.

Just to answer with a bit less angst. The person may use “not disproportionate force”, not “lethal force” as the commenter suggested. Lady is a moron and deserves to be disarmed and prevented from escalating to a real attack, sure.

Also if a person pulls a gun and you shoot them dead you will be prosecuted as you have killed someone, you likely won’t be convicted of murder, there’s a difference. If they pull a gun out and you shoot them without them pointing it at you or objectively appearing like they intend to kill you it gets a bit more iffy.

Next point. It’s not self defence anyway, it’s necessity because it’s not the guy being threatened that attacks and disarms. Again a different test. Again lethal force compared to proportionate force, sorry nah.

Vigilante justice in killing her just would not work in that scenario as filmed. Disarming or restraining as occurred = legit. Cannot kill unless a reasonable person would believe someone’s life was in imminent danger, not just possible danger if things escalate.

You do not have a right to kill someone just because they pull a weapon from a bag. We aren’t a nutbag society of fearful jerks with weapons that need to placate other fearful jerks’ obsession with owning weapons and inability to confront responsibility when they kill someone out of misplaced fear, or cause they were y’know black and coming towards them.

Sorry, she’s an idiot that needs a serious bit of counselling and assistance to be a beneficial member of society (maybe just to feel safe enough to not need to carry a knife). She doesn’t deserve to die. We are better than that.

so just to clarify here, you think someone performing a 180 producing a weapon and then closing the distance making repeated stabbing motions with said weapon is " She waved a knife in somewhat threatening manner but with no obvious intent to attack him"

any lawyer worth his salt could easily (and i genuinely mean easily) defend him using lethal force is such a circumstance, to deny otherwise is to live in delusion.

she changed directon when she had free passage to escape and produced a weapon and closed the gap this is text book open shut case, if she was killed he would face no charges with even the most basic incompetent but semi functional lawyer.
