Please let me know if this is the wrong sub for this post, and I'll remove it. But I like this sub and would appreciate some advice.

I (20M) consider myself a classical English liberal. Part of that worldview involves not discriminating against people based on things like race and sex.

I also understand that men and women are different, and sometimes difference in treatment is appropriate, especially in ones personal life (relationships are an obvious example).

However, I've realised that I do have a number of legitimate anti-woman biases. If a panel show has 4 women on it, I bristle. I wouldn't do that if I saw 4 dudes on a panel show.

I also could see myself preferring to hire a female secretary, and a male lawyer. That's actual discrimination, which makes me a bona fide sexist. I've tried looking for ways to minimise these biases, but I'm faced with pages of neo-marxist BS discussing patriarchy, oppression and the evil white man.

Any advice on tackling these biases in an honest way? Perhaps focusing on THIS kind of "anti-bias training, rather than marxist indoctrination classes could be beneficial. Thoughts?
