Oh fuck the hell off No one said a damn thing about you having/wanting children or that you should have children because you're a woman. That's absolutely something you're projecting and bringing into this. You're self centered because you belive your way of thinking is how everyone thinks. This isn't a hive mind. And yes it does make sense for a single parent to celebrate bother if you really feel the need to. Im from a divorced family too and my bio mom gets a big fuck you while I celebrate both with my dad. Again I'm not disagreeing with you there but you're missing the fact that every single year without fail single mothers, feminists, and just other women throw a bitch fit if I was to wish my father a happy Mother's day publicly but will then turn around and bitch if single mothers aren't celebrated on Father's Day or just want the holiday removed altogetherbecause its "offensive". And this isn't just a small case of a few assholes. This is a wide spread issues that happens every year.

So I see what you’re saying, but wouldn’t a solution to all this then be to have just a “Parents Day” at some other date other than Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, that way every parent can feel included and there’d be no need to argue. Idk if it’s too late to ever propose that. Frankly, I don’t think companies would like it because it would limit the number of times consumers go out and buy gifts lol.

EDIT: Another person commented that this type of day actually exists and I looked it up. It needs way more attention! That way we can keep having days devoted just to mothers, just to fathers, and then a day for all parents. As a result, single mothers won’t feel justified in asking for praise on Father’s Day and vice versa for single fathers on Mother’s Day. Wouldn’t that be nice...having no arguments. But maybe that’s too optimistic of society.
