/r/adviceanimals right now has yet another great example of what I am now dubbing the 4 Year Monkey Branch.

Here's the meme the guy made The discussion is actually pretty RP at the moment.

At the 4 year mark, she is going to start getting antsy if you aren't still triggering the all powerful gina tingles. It also tends to happen at the 1 to 1.5 year mark as well. If you don't have your shit together at that point you have a really good chance of losing her. This is exactly why we must maintain frame and keep our SMV high even when we are in a long term relationship. Continue to be the man she was attracted to and don't allow her to change you into her beta provider that she is going to resent.

Don't let yourselves become complacent. Don't assume she will love you forever and ever no matter what. If you aren't the type of guy that she wants to try and keep, she will cast you aside when she realizes that she's not haaaaapy. Be the type of guy that other women are going to want and she will compete with them to defend her territory.

If you have that 4 year horizon looming use that as a reminder step your relationship game up. Hit the gym. Eat healthy. Do exciting things. Build shit. Make things. Produce, don't consume. Live a life for yourself in such a way that it adds value to her because if she doesn't see value in you, you're gonna be history. Make sure you aren't just coasting by on the path of least resistance.

TL;DR: Less rambling than my last post. Doesn't need a TL;DR
