Edit* I wonder if people who get triggered by my username and scroll my comment history to reply how I must hate women because I participate in r/mensrights ever actually read my comments. I appreciate intelligent people. Both men and women have the capacity to be intelligent and kind. I appreciate and respect those people for it. Janice Fiamengo is an amazing woman and her perspective is spot on. She gets it.

Disingenuous reporting of facts made legitimate because "shes a woman, criticizing feminism, so it must be true!" People will use any means necessary to preserve their fragile egos and lead themselves to believe that they worked hard for what they got, that men/white people/the rich/heterosexuals are equally oppressed, to the extent that some are offended on behalf of the status quo when you try to change it. The point here is that domestic violence is (largely, not defending abusers) a product of the standards that society places on men, not that "haha women bad, men don't abuse" which enables abusers.
