If you where a feminist what made you leave? If you are what makes you stay even with what anti feminists have brought to discredit feminism?

I have stopped using the word 'feminist' because it now has such a bad connotation. I am for equal rights for all people.

I stipped actively looking and following current feminists becuase I felt so angry all the time. Everything I saw was somehow an injustice I personally needed to call out. I was focusing only on women and not on people. I was becoming slefish and thought only my problems and my 'causes' mattered. Everything else was just getting in the way.

I was going down a very isolated path and I am just happy I was able to turn around before I got too lost.

I was a feminist, because i supported equal rights, but eventually i saw the extreme side of that side and wanted to branch out and look at other stuff. They focused most on women's issues, but never the men's side. So i questioned and looked around.

I thought the wage gap was real, until Shoe0nHead said it was a myth. I was shocked that a woman said that it was a myth. So i did a little more digging and it made me change. So I watched the red pill movie and it changed me. I am not a feminist or a MRA person, but i understand both sides.

Both sides have extremes. Both sides hate the other. But me. I don't hate feminists, i hate feminism. I am neutral

I'm a feminist because the original definition is equality for all genders and not just for women. I'm getting my degree in gender studies and honestly, a lot of people in the program forget that men have issues. Feminism is fighting for that too but a lot of online feminist don't see that which discredits and stigmatized the word.
