Complete garbage article. 99% of these women aren't paying their half of their household expenses. Half the rent/mortgage. Half the health insurance. Car payment. Grocery bills. Heating and electricity. Property taxes. Overwhelmingly women don't pay their fair share of these expenses because it's funded by their male partner or the government (which is male taxpayers). So their "unpaid" labor is very much paid for because they aren't paying their equal share of expenses.

I hate articles like this. I do unpaid labor all the time. When I changed the spark plugs on my car, that was unpaid labor. When I do the dishes or clean the bathroom, that's unpaid labor. When I put together furniture, that's unpaid labor.

Who is supposed to pay me for all this unpaid labor?

It doesn't matter that men also work at home, or that men do the most dangerous jobs outside the home, or that family work is not the same as business or state work. Essentially, feminist media, like NYT, prefer the capitalization of family and children. Okay. After you put women (and men) to work, but not as private citizens, but as public workers, and let the state pay for it, women (and men) will have much less power over their families. We can see this fact already in socialist countries.
