"Nearly 90 per cent of men and women hold some biases against women: UN report". A quick review suggests the UN were biased against males as not looking at biases against men; also this poor methodology means one can't see about which there were stronger biases e.g. with regard to domestic violence

Study finds that "manuscripts written by women as solo authors or coauthored by women were treated even more favorably by referees and editors" yet gets reported with the heading "no gender bias". Gender bias against men doesn't seem to count as gender bias!

Following a petition, Winchester University cancelled a talk with two men's rights activists in 2019. Here is the text of one of the talks (by William Collins) that were planned. It covers education, suffrage and coverture. It's disappointing that such views can't be expressed in such a forum.

95% of strip searches of children reported in England & Wales are of boys. This may or may not be an issue but I found it interesting that it was considered unfair that black children were more likely to be strip-searched but this huge gender disparity was barely mentioned in lots of media coverage.

They didn't ask about gender bias against men because...

of course nobody is biased against men...

we know that instinctively, unconsciously, right?

Ironically, pretending it’s impossible to be biased against men is itself biased against men.

Because 'gender' means 'women'.

And biases against men. And biases against other races. And biases against those with disabilities. And biases against choice of shoes, color of socks yadda yadda yadda.

Turns out all people have biases :).

“Globally close to 50 percent of men agree men should have more right to a job than women,” the report said. “This coincides with the fact that professional women currently face a challenge in finding a partner that will support their career.”

In other words:

Globally 50% of women live in shitholes with stone age conditions, and demand that they be allowed to sit in a house and crap out children while their husband works himself into an early grave. Just like it's been for the past 100,000 years.

Meanwhile, in the industrialized West where infrastructure makes women less useless outside the house, women want to be men but are shocked to learn that division of labor is more efficient, and that their husbands have no desire to become women.

Actually about 100% of men and women hold biases against men and women. The rest who hold no biases are in a vegetative state and can't make generalizations.

A typical bias against women is that they are weaker than men or for women that they are more beautiful. It would be hard to find a person who had neither of these biases. And even if one was found there would be other biases he or she held.

We know from several studies and empiric observations that the biases against men are pretty damaging. In fact, I think that the fear of unknown men results in far more worse bias than anything women face.

And our urge to help women (particularly those who look pretty like children) results in far more positive bias for women than any positve bias men face.
