I appreciate that they put this out and seem to have had fun with it, but if anyone thinks I'm going to shave off my magnificent beard they should know I will very willingly play these odds

As a HAZMAT Technician I can tell you anecdotally that I passed a full-face respirator fit test with stubble. Basically the more facial hair that comes into contact with the edge of the mask that fits to your face (mask seal) the higher the chance of particulate entry. I tried to pass with a fairly light beard and failed miserably, however.

Well it looks like I finally have an excuse to turn my beard into a handlebar mustache.
