/r/AskReddit is a subreddit of 5,000,000 people who think the way relationships work in sitcoms is the way they're supposed to work in real life. They watch the Big Bang Theory and see Leonard win Penny over with some grand romantic gesture that would get him laughed at or arrested in real life and they wish that's how it works out in the real world too.
Deep down most of them know this is horseshit, but the average Joe Baseball Fan and Sally Status Update don't want to admit it. People like that have a lot to gain in bullshitting each other that their view of life and love is the way things are supposed to be, and a lot to lose when faced with the chance to admit it's complete fucking nonsense and take control of their own lives for a change.

This isn't going to be particularly well articulated as its a Sunday morning and I'm incredibly hungover, but here is my take.
Redditors hate this subreddit for two reasons: a mixture of vested interests and ego protection. The average sexual market value of a redditor is considerably low(see: redditor meet ups. barf) They hate that we are taking away our business to greener hotter pastures leaving them in the dirt with each other. They hate that we are the 'douchebags' that steal all the hot girls, taking away the average fat woman's control and leaving the betas with their cocks in their hands.
Moving on to my point of ego protection, redditors don't like that we challenge their carefully cultivated world view so they shame us to try make us go away. In most cases they are just shaming us because we make them feel uncomfortable and not because they can articulate a coherent alternate theory to what we suggest here.
tl;dr: we obliterate undesirables' mating options and it makes them feel uncomfortable

What is delusional is the stereotyping of behaviours based on the idea that we are driven solely by instincts. Pretty much everything I have read in this sub leads me to believe that the majority of people who comment here have had limited to no experience with the opposite sex. Human behavior is not some black and white formula which has an expected result given some set of inputs, to try and explain it in such a way suggests a complete lack of personal experience.

Seddit and TRP come from a similar place but are very distinct communities now.
TRP has use as a philosophy outside of sexual pursuits. Seddit doesn't. Seddit has also ceded ground to political correctness and as such become a watered down caricature of its self.

LMR stands for last minute resistance. It sounds rapey because, obviously, if you're having sex with someone who's resisting, it's rape. I don't know what is widely accepted about LMR, it's rarely brought up on TRP. I've never had it happen to me, to be perfectly honest. I think if she said I should stop, I would, because honestly if by that time she's not into me enough then I don't think it's worth it to continue. In the situation you described, I think your response would be appropriate.
I've always thought it should be called LMI (Last Minute Indecision), which sounds a little less rapey

Because lots of people on this subreddit tend to generalise all women as evil, stupid, manipulative pieces of shit from the deepest circle of hell. They don't realise that women are persons as well, just like men. And just because you might have got burnt by a few relationships with women in the past, that's not a good enough of a reason to distrust and hate ALL women.
